How is GST calculated from a GST-inclusive amount?
Base price = total ÷ (1 + rate/100). For example ₹1,180 including 18% GST has a base of ₹1,000 and GST of ₹180.
What are the GST slabs now?
The main slabs are 5%, 18% and 40% after GST 2.0. 3% applies to gold and jewellery, and a few items remain at 12% or 28%.
